Harbinger Motors Leases 165,170 SQFT of Industrial Space in Garden Grove

Los Angeles, Calif. – Colliers today announced the completion of a 165,171 square-foot lease agreement in the vibrant Orange County sub-market of Garden Grove. Colliers’ industrial team of Clyde Stauff and Jace Gan represented the landlord, Rexford Industrial, who leased the state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility at 12821 Knott Street.

The tenant, Harbinger Motors, Inc., will manufacture state-of-the-art electric light and medium-duty delivery vehicles. Harbinger Motors will custom design the vehicles to customers’ specifications, offering a unique proprietary chassis and platform ideally suited for suburban delivery vehicles. 

To accommodate the new tenant’s growing business needs, the building will undergo extensive upfit, including approximately 40,000 square feet of office and engineering space. Harbinger Motors was previously located in Gardena, CA.

“This is a significant win for Orange County and the City of Garden Grove,” said Stauff. “Harbinger will employ over 160 people in technical, design, and engineering jobs, bolstering the growing market’s economy and labor pool.”

Rexford Industrial acquired the Knott Street property in 2019 and added significant improvements, including a 45,171 square-foot high bay expansion area and 20,000 square feet of high-finish office space.
