Colliers brokers the largest new low-finish industrial lease signed in Central San Diego in the past four years.

San Diego, Calif., August 4, 2025 — Colliers is proud to announce the completion of a 123,492-square-foot new industrial lease at 8888 Balboa Avenue in San Diego’s Kearny Mesa submarket. The Developer and Landlord, Rexford Industrial, has leased the entire brand-new Class-A warehouse distribution facility to an undisclosed Tenant, marking the largest new low-finish industrial lease signed in Central San Diego in the past four years.  

Colliers Executive Vice Presidents Evan McDonald, Mark Lewkowitz, and Senior Executive Vice President Tucker Hohenstein led the property’s marketing efforts and brokered the transaction on behalf of Rexford. Newmark Senior Managing Directors Wills Allen and Mike McQuaid represented the tenant. “This property was thoughtfully designed for today’s industrial users, with a combination of functional warehouse space, ESG features, and modern office accommodations,” said Evan McDonald. “It’s a premier infill asset in one of San Diego’s most strategic logistics corridors, and we’re proud to have worked closely with Rexford to bring it to 100 percent lease-up.”

The newly delivered state-of-the-art facility includes approximately 111,706 square feet of warehouse space and 11,786 square feet of two-story office space. Notable features include:

  • 20 dock-high loading positions
  • 36’ clear height
  • ESFR Sprinklers
  • Concrete paving throughout the loading and yard area
  • Multiple access points with gated entry/exit and fencing
  • ESG Features
