Confirming strategic office demand from growing firms, JLL announced today that it has signed San Diego Workforce Partnership to a new lease for 12,963-square-feet of space at 333 H Street in Chula Vista, California. The lease represents a relocation of its South County Career Center currently on Bay Boulevard in Chula Vista.
“The San Diego Workforce Partnership has maintained a strong presence in South County San Diego for 20 years,” said San Diego Workforce Partnership VP of Operations Brandon Harrison. “Commencing in 2025, the new Chula Vista location will provide improved accessibility and enhance our ability to connect businesses with qualified talent, strengthening our services and partnerships within the local business ecosystem.”
JLL’s Damon Melda represented San Diego Workforce Partners in the lease. The landlord, Scripps Health, was represented by Bill Cavanagh and Joe Zurek of Cushman & Wakefield.
“While the San Diego office leasing market has slowed in recent months, we are seeing strategic relocations from firms like San Diego Workforce Partnership who have a vision for the future of workspace,” said Damon Melda, JLL Managing Director. “We began the search for a new location more than 18 months ago. With the low vacancy for quality product we waited patiently for the right fit to bring SDWP’s resources to the local communities. This included a building with easy access to public transportation, ground floor accessibility, secured parking and state of the art space to host their career center.”
According to JLL’s Q1 2024 San Diego Office Report, Chula Vista office vacancy currently sits at 3.9 percent, one of the lowest in the county.
