Taylor City Council members voted 5-0 on Oct. 8 to annex the 664-acre Taylor Technology Campus under a 20-year development agreement, giving Big Watt Digital and PowerHouse Data Centers local approval for a gas-powered campus planned for up to 1 gigawatt, even as a state permit freeze and resident opposition shadow the road to first power in 2028.
