Atoms, the holding company Travis Kalanick assembled after leaving Uber, will acquire and build the ground infrastructure for Joby Aviation's air-taxi service in Texas, a market where the state transportation department has already secured federal clearance for commercial electric aircraft operations linking Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
