Tesla has filed for a decade-long school district tax abatement on a $10.1 billion photovoltaic manufacturing complex spanning more than 3,000 acres in Fort Bend County, a project code-named "Project Crystal Sun" that would rank among the largest industrial land plays in the Houston region and deepen Elon Musk's already sprawling Texas manufacturing footprint.
