Austin-based HPI Real Estate Services & Investments has started construction on The Kent, a seven-story, 396-unit mid-rise at 2631 Kramer Lane, betting that a collapsing construction pipeline and a new UT medical campus next door will hand it a tighter market by the time the building opens in 2028 and 2029.
