A year behind its original schedule, Dallas-based Veritas Communities has broken ground on Liberty Hills, a roughly 1,800-home master-planned community in fast-growing Anna with a Sprouts-anchored retail center planned. Buyers there will carry about $4,700 a year in special assessments to help repay $18.8 million in public improvement district bonds, and Phase 1 homes are priced well above what most of North Texas is buying right now.
