Chicago-based The Scion Group and Ares Management captured 1,419 beds across two San Marcos communities, or 61 percent of a four-property SCHENK+ portfolio that traded for roughly $435 million, cementing the nation's largest off-campus operator at a university that has added students faster than almost any other in Texas.
